This Privacy Policy describes how GarageCalculator.app ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Service. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to operate the Service.

1. Information We Collect

From builders (account holders):

Name, company name, email address, and password — collected at sign-up
Billing information — collected and stored by Stripe (we never see your full card number)
Branding settings (logo, colours, phone number) — entered in the admin panel
Pricing configuration — the rates you set for your business

From your customers (leads submitted through your calculator):

Name, phone number, and email address
Garage configuration details (dimensions, options selected)
Estimate range generated at time of submission

Automatically collected:

Basic usage data (page loads, errors) via Firebase
IP address and browser type for security and analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
To process your subscription payments through Stripe
To send estimate emails to your customers on your behalf via Resend
To send you account-related notifications (billing, updates)
To provide customer support
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your data or your customers' data. We do not use customer lead data for advertising.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share data only with the third-party services required to operate the platform:

Google Firebase (Google LLC)

Hosts our database (Firestore), authentication, and web infrastructure. Your account data and leads are stored in Firebase. Firebase Privacy

Stripe, Inc.

Processes all subscription payments. Stripe stores your billing details under their own privacy policy. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status. Stripe Privacy

Resend

Delivers estimate emails to your customers and notification emails to you. Email content and recipient addresses are transmitted through Resend's infrastructure. Resend Privacy

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and backup purposes. Lead data is retained until you delete it from your admin panel or close your account.

5. Your Customers' Privacy

As a builder using the Service, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your customers' personal information through your calculator. You should have a privacy notice on your own website that informs customers how their data will be used.

6. Security

We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules to restrict access to data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never passes through our servers in full.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we follow industry best practices to protect your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify account holders by email before material changes take effect. The current version is always available at this URL.
